Set of Autolisps for Elevating Entities

Under Elevate, create 3D points and elevation text. Elevate selected objects and make elevation of selected texts to zero.

1. Elevate a Text as per the Elevation in Text (CEE) 

Menu: Elevate a Text as per the Elevation in Text (CEE)

Functionality: To elevate a text as per the elevation in text.

Description: It is convenient to work in the 2D Space, but some software’s handle the data only if the entities are in 3D and hence it may require switching over between these modes frequently. To help such switching a set of lisps have been developed which will create elevations, points in 3D or 2D as per the requirement.

Using ‘CEE’ command all the selected texts can be elevated as per the elevation mentioned in the text caption. This option can be used to convert the elevations in 2D space to 3D Space.

Procedure:

  • Type ‘CEE’ at the command Prompt
  • Select Entities: Select the texts whose Z values are to be as in caption.

2. Make Elevation of selected Texts to zero (CEZ) 

Menu: Make Elevation of selected Texts to zero (CEZ)

Functionality: To make elevation of selected text to zero.

Description: Using the ‘CEZ’ command elevations of all the texts can be brought down to Zero i.e. the Z value of the selected texts can be changed to zero. This option can be used to convert the texts in 3D space to 2D Space.

Procedure:

Select Entities: Select the texts whose Z values are to be changed to zero.

3. Create Elevation Text from an Elevated Text (CET) 

Menu: Create Elevation Text from an Elevated Text (CET)

Functionality: To create text considering Z value in the text.

Description: Using ‘CET’ command new elevation texts can be created from the selected text as per the elevation (Z Value) of the selected texts. These new texts are created at the insertion point of the selected texts, blocks or points.

Procedure:

  • Type ‘CET’ at the command prompt.
  • Select Entities : Select the objects to create a text same as Z value in the text.

4. Create 3D Points from Elevation Text (CEP)

Menu: Create 3D Points from Elevation Text (CEP)

Functionality: To create elevated points. It takes X, Y and Z values from the selected objects and puts the point whose Z value of the created point is same as the text value.

Description: Using ‘CEP’ command new points can be created at the insertion point of the selected texts as per the elevation mentioned in the text caption. These newly created points are created at the insertion point of the selected texts.

Procedure:

  • Type ‘CEP’ at the command prompt.
  • Select EntitiesObjects: Select the objects to create elevated points.

5. Elevate Selected Objects (UEL) 

Menu: Elevate Selected Objects (UEL)

Functionality: To elevate selected objects.

Description: Using the ‘UEL’ command elevation (Z Value) of all the selected objects can be set as per the given constant elevation.

Procedure:

  • Type UEL at the command prompt.
  • Type the Elevation: Enter a value for which the objects need to be elevated.
  • Select entities: Select the objects whose elevation is needed.
